Charleston, South Carolina Campaign 2014 SCV National Convention
At the start of this campaign it wasn't known which church might host the Sons of Confederate Veteran (SCV) national convention event. So the correspondence was directed towards the four denominations which had hosted neo-Confederates before the most: Episcopal (both factions); United Methodist Church, Roman Catholic, Presbyterian USA.
There was no reply to any correspondence directed to officials of the four denominations about the Sons of Confederate Veterans 2014 Charleston Reunion . This is the link to the correspondence.
Early publications of the SCV convention schedules listed that they were still looking for a church, and then later they stopped mentioning that they were looking and but kept which church they had selected a secret. It was only found out that the Ashley River Baptist Church in Charleston, SC had hosted the SCV in a newspaper article after the event. The Ashley River Baptist Church is a member of the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC). A letter was sent to SBC president Ronnie Floyd and to all the members of the SBC executive Committee.
