Sons of Confederate Veterans and the Civil War as a Theological War and Pro-Slavery Theology.
This paper details using the own words of the neo-Confederates in their articles in the Confederate Veteran magazine, the official publication of the Sons of Confederate Veterans (SCV), and the writings of SCV national officers in that magazine to show the promotion in that magazine of pro-slavery theology and the idea that the Civil War was really a theological conflict, a Holy War, which continues to this day.
