Marilla Street

The story of Marilla Street is the story of the streets named by white supremacist  Rev. W.C. Young.  Dallas City Hall is on a street named after a street named for a mother of a white supremacist by a white supremacist. It gives the Confederacy legitimacy and also special importance through symbolic accretion since it is on the street on which Dallas City Hall is located. 

The story involves massacres and lynchings.
