Temple of Democracy

New Phase of the Lamar St. to Botham Jean Blvd. Battle

The stretch of Lamar St. starting at I-30 to the East has been changed to Botham Jean Blvd. The stretch of South Lamar St. to the West of I-30 and all of North Lamar St. still remains to be changed to Botham Jean Blvd.  That battle and the documentation about Mirabeau B. Lamar can be read at this page.
http://templeofdemocracy.com/lamar-street-old.html

A vicious white supremacist who committed genocide isn't unacceptable south of I-30 but acceptable north of I-30. We can't have the practice of white supremacy being acceptable in the white (whiter) sections of Dallas but only unacceptable in the non-white (less white) sections of Dallas. It would be an abomination.  So we have more to do.
TABLE OF CONTENTS

1. Contact emails of City Council Members to ask them to support the name change.

2. Map of the remaining section of South Lamar St. and North Lamar St. to be changed.

3. Letter to the Dallas Community College Board of Trustees about two things. 1) Sloppy job updating the address of their headquarters of 1601 Botham Jean Blvd. from the old address of 1601 S. Lamar St. on their website.  2) The in appropriateness of having a street named after a white supremacist thug like Lamar St. bounding their El Centro College Campus or having their students having to take streets, or cross streets, named white supremacist to reach any Dallas Community College Campus.

4. Letter to DART Board about the actions of their police, with supplementary document of maps of where events took place with details of property ownership and accounts of events.

5. Letter to the Dallas County Community College District (DCCCD) explaining the following: 1)  Why they should have supported the nane change as properties owners on the section of South Lamar St. that was changed.  2) That they should support a name change for North Lamar St. since El Centro College is on it. 3) They should support renaming all white supremacist streets which bound their campuses. 4) They should support renaming streets which their students have to transverse to get to their campuses. 6. Letter to the Dallas Independent School District (DISD) explaining the following: 1)  Why they should have supported the nane change as properties owners on the section of South Lamar St. that was changed.  2) They should support renaming all white supremacist streets which bound their campuses. 3) They should support renaming streets which their students have to transverse to get to their campuses. YOu can also click on this link for downloading.  issuu.com/edwardh.sebesta/docs/20210329_disd_justin_henry__web

7. PDF of Powerpoint about the many crimes against humanity committed by Lamar which was printed out and encloded with the letters sent to DISD and DCCCD about when they failed to respond to the City of Dallas inquiry to them. Letter to Dallas Community College Trustees to support changing Lamar St. to Botham Jean Blvd.

Picture
El Centro College of the Dallas Community College System is boardered by Lamar St. We ask that they support changing the name, also the innappropriatnesss of any Dallas Community College to be bounded by a street named after a white supremacist.

ALSO, we point out that how they have done a poor job updating their address for their headquarters which now is on Botham Jean Blvd. This sloppy attitude isn't supprising since they didn't support changing Lamar St. to Botham Jean Blvd. when the City of Dallas wrote them about the change.

Letter to the Dallas County Community College District (DCCCD)

(NO REPLY as of 11/26/2021) The headquarters of the DCCCD is on what was S. Lamar St. The City of Dallas sent them a form asking for their input regarding changing the name of  the stretch of S. Lamar St. to Botham Jean Blvd.

This letter was sent to them stating that they should have replied and why they should have supported the name change. Further, DCCCD has El Centro College on North Lamar St. so in the future campaign to change North Lamar St. and the remaining stretch of South Lamar St. they should support the change.

Also they should support getting rid of streets named after white supremacists which bound their campuses or over which students have to drive to their campuses. The white supremacist streets are a text which poison students of all races. The following is the letter.  This was the Powerpoint included with the mailing.   issuu.com/edwardh.sebesta/docs/mirabeau_buonaparte_lamar

This letter was sent to them stating that they should have replied and why they should have supported the name change.
